As part of Work Package 4 “European teacher professional development” of the UNI-T Academy project, the INSPE of Aix-Marseille University, in collaboration with the Aix-Marseille Education Authority, organised the third Community of Practice. This initiative, designed to foster pedagogical innovation focused on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), was structured around three key stages: an initial online meeting, an in-person session, and a final virtual gathering. It brought together teachers and educators from France, Belgium, Italy, Greece and Germany.

14 February 2024 – Session 1 (online)

The first online meeting, held on 14 February 2024, brought together 203 participants around the theme of the ecological transition and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Organised into discussion groups based on preferred language (English, French, Italian and Greek), the workshop aimed to identify the challenges of integrating these themes into schools and to initiate collective reflection.

18–20 March 2024 – Session 2 (in-person, Marseille)

The main in-person session took place from 18 to 20 March 2024 at the INSPE of Aix-Marseille University. It offered rich opportunities for exchange with a wide range of stakeholders — including school leaders, inspectors and teachers — about ESD-related initiatives implemented in local schools.

On this occasion, eight international participants, whose mobility was funded by the UNI-T project, had the opportunity to visit several institutions: Calanques Agricultural High School, Simone Veil High School, Edouard Manet Middle School and Jacques Prévert Middle School.

17 April 2024 – Session 3 (online)

The third and final online meeting, held on 17 April 2024, provided space for reflection and collective feedback. Participants shared the practices they developed or discovered through the Community of Practice, discussed their school-based projects, and explored how to implement ESD in their respective educational contexts.
