Biographical Info
I am a physical education teacher at α Model High School in Athens, Greece. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sports Science and a Master’s degree in Education. I am currently a PhD candidate in Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy with a special interest in parental involvement. I have twenty years of experience as a basketball coach with young athletes and as strength and conditioning coach. Recently I have also specialised in counselling and educational guidance as well as school psychology and classroom management. I love travelling and outdoor activities. I am a mum of three boys.
Contribution to the UNI-T project
Taking part in the UNI-T programme has enhanced my teaching skills and strengthened my empathy. I am passionate about watching my smiling students practicing during lessons. It was a successful teaching experience that I would like to build on in my future teaching. Additionally, the interaction with PE colleagues from other European countries provide me with an insight on the European PE teaching mentality.
