Ampiric Seminar: “Flexible layout and cooperative islands”

Marion Tellier and Martine Gadille present two projects supported by AMPIRIC, which question the flexible layout of classes in middle school, the establishment of cooperative islands, learning reasoning and well-being. Firstly, through the presentation of the AFLEX project, the aim is to define the flexible layout of classes, to present the results and the context of research on this subject. Based on the 39 interviews conducted with students, the way in which flexible layout is implemented and what students think about it is analyzed. The second part, the presentation of the ICARE project, offers possible answers to the following question: "How to organize cooperation and its semiotic modes (narrative, visual, bodily) in the form of cooperative islands to support informal reasoning based on argumentative exchanges?" The research methodology and its first results are presented in their mixed aspects of fundamental and participatory research with a view to building a community of practices.
