Athens May to June 2024 Elementary School
This elementary school located in the city of Athens will be pleased to welcome you for a three-week internship.
The Experimental School of NKUA is the implementation of the proposal made in 1925 by the Professor of Pedagogy Nikolaos Exarchopoulos for the establishment of an experimental school at the University of Athens. It was founded in 1929 by Law 4376 “On the establishment of experimental schools in the Universities of Athens and Thessaloniki”, with the aim of the theoretical and practical pedagogical education of the teachers of secondary education, the promotion of pedagogical science and the practical pedagogical training of the post-graduate teachers at the University.
The Experimental School of NKUA follows the national curriculum for primary schools in Greece.
The subjects taught in the school are: Religious Education, Language, Mathematics, History, History, Environmental Studies, Geography, Physics and Biology, Social and Civic Education, Art, Physical Education, English, Skills Workshops, Second Foreign Language and Information and Communication Technologies.
Age of the students: 6 to 12 years old.
Languages taught: Greek, English, French and German.
